Access to information you can understand is a major help in prevention, including understanding the importance of screening. Accessible information is also crucially important with helping people to understand treatment, and difficult issues such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ldw.org.uk\/cy\/including-people-with-learning-difficulties-in-end-of-life-care\/\">end of life care<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.macmillan.org.uk\">Macmillan<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.changepeople.org\/\">Change<\/a> have produced over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macmillan.org.uk\/information-and-support\/resources-and-publications\/other-formats\/easy-read.html\">50 easy read guides to cancer<\/a>, including: Living a healthy life;\u00a0Signs of cancer;\u00a0Screening;\u00a0Living with cancer;\u00a0Treatment;\u00a0Side effects of treatment;\u00a0End of life; After someone dies.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/booksbeyondwords.co.uk\/\">Books Beyond Words<\/a> have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cancerresearchuk.org\/about-cancer\/coping\/general-books-links\/for-people-learning-disabilities\">a series of accessible books about cancer<\/a>, including: Getting on with cancer; Looking after my breasts; Looking after my balls; When somebody dies; When mum died.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fairadvice.org.uk\/health-publications.php\">Fair (Family Advice and Information Resource) have easy read booklets and CDs about cancer<\/a>, including: A guide to examining your breasts; A guide to examining your testicles; A guide to having a smear test.<\/li>\n<li>Marie Curie have\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mariecurie.org.uk\/help\/support\/publications\/easy-reads\">easy read booklets for people and their families who are living with terminal illness<\/a>, including: Keeping healthy; Coping with bereavement; Helping with your feelings; Advice and support for carers.<\/li>\n<li>Prostate Cancer UK have an easy read guide,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/prostatecanceruk.org\/prostate-information\/our-publications\/publications\/easy-read-my-prostate\">My prostate &#8211; What changes should I look out for?<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.learningdisabilitytoday.co.uk\/cancer-charity-launches-easy-read-guide-on-cervical-screening-for-women-with-learning-disabilities\">Jo\u2019s Cervical Cancer Trust<\/a> have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jostrust.org.uk\/shop\/information\">easy read guides and resources about having a smear test<\/a>, including posters and leaflets, and an accessible DVD.<\/li>\n<li>Public Health Wales, Cervical Screening Wales and Learning Disability Wales have produced a guide to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wales.nhs.uk\/sitesplus\/888\/news\/49254\">Having a smear test and testing for a virus called\u00a0HPV<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Bowel Screening Wales have <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bowelscreening.wales.nhs.uk\/information-resources\">easy read resources and videos available on their website<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Breast Test Wales can arrange special appointments for women with a learning disability to familiarise herself with the equipment, staff and surroundings prior to being screened.\u00a0If you, or your supporter, would like to discuss your screening invitation, please phone\u00a0your local\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.breasttestwales.wales.nhs.uk\/contact-us\">breast screening centre<\/a>\u00a0who will be able to assist you.<\/li>\n<li>Velindre hospital have produced an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.velindrecc.wales.nhs.uk\/document\/216395\">easy read guide to going for\u00a0Radiotherapy at\u00a0Velindre Hospital<\/a>, that will be also be useful for people having radiotherapy at other other hospitals.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyhealth.org.uk\/\">Easy Health is an excellent website<\/a> with lots of easy read resources about health and well-being, including information about cancer.<\/li>\n<li>In Wales, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhsdirect.wales.nhs.uk\/easyreads\/\">NHS Direct now has an excellent easy read resources section<\/a> that contains easy read information produced in Wales.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I farcio #DiwrnodCancrYByd rydyn ni wedi casglu adnoddau defnyddiol ar gyfer pobl ag anabledd dysgu, aelodau teulu, a cefnogwyr, yn cynnwys canllawiau Hawdd ei Ddeall da.
