The Welsh Government has released an easy read version of ‘Unlocking our Society and Economy: continuing the conversation’, which sets out a roadmap for exiting the lockdown in Wales.

The easy read plan, which has been produced by Learning Disability Wales, details the steps that the Welsh Government is considering as it leads Wales out of the coronavirus pandemic. The plan explains the traffic light system for coming out of the lockdown, and what is needed to reopen different parts of the economy and society. It covers:

  • Education and care for children
  • Getting around
  • Seeing family and friends
  • Exercise, playing sport and games
  • Relaxing and special occasions
  • Working or running a business
  • Going shopping
  • Using public services
  • Going to places like church

Welsh Government says that the plan will be updated regularly and they will keep talking to lots of people from our communities, businesses
and services, to ensure they are making the best decisions.
