Disability Wales – Easy Read Disabled People’s Manifesto 2026–2031

We were pleased to work with Disability Wales to create an Easy Read version of their new manifesto, From Barely Surviving to Truly Thriving.
This Easy Read document shares what disabled people and their organisations said needs to change in Wales over the next five years.
The manifesto brings together the voices of disabled people from all over Wales. People spoke about their rights, their independence, and the barriers that affect their daily lives. Their experiences and ideas shaped the final document.
The Easy Read version explains the five key asks disabled people have for political parties ahead of the next Senedd term. It sets out what disabled people want to see happen to improve equality, strengthen rights, and make sure people can live full, independent, and meaningful lives. The manifesto focuses on legal rights, leadership, independent living, and the changes needed to the welfare system.
The work presents a clear and hopeful vision for a fairer Wales.
We also made a Welsh Easy Read version of the report. Both versions are digitally accessible for screen readers and assistive technology.
