School children sitting on the floor

We want to hear your views on what is important for children and young people with a learning disability in the education system in Wales. We are asking for your views to collect evidence to respond to the Welsh Government’s consultations on the new Curriculum for Wales. Welsh Government is asking for people’s views on its new curriculum through 8 different consultations (deadline: 16 July 2021).

We are interested in the views of all our stakeholders including people with a learning disability, parents and carers of people with a learning disability, people working in schools, and other professionals who work with children and young people with additional learning needs.

Join us at our online consultation event to share your views and respond to the following questions:

  1. What learning environments enable children and young people with a learning disability to learn?
  2. How can Welsh Government make sure children and young people with a learning disability have access to the same opportunities as their peers?
  3. What should Welsh Government do to ensure Relationships and Sexuality Education is accessible and relevant to children and young people with a learning disability?
  4. How can Welsh Government make sure children and young people with a learning disability have access to good quality work skills and careers training?

Date: Monday 5 July 2021

Time: 10:00 am until 12:00 pm

Location: Online via Zoom
