Only 6% of people with a learning disability and 16% of people with autism are in employment in the UK. We want to change this.

Join us!

Engage to Change will be in Wrexham during Learning Disability Week on Monday 17th June with our brand new Roadshow, bringing together people with a learning disability and autism, parents and carers, employers, local businesses, decision-makers and more to let you know how this project can benefit you.

The Engage to Change project is currently running across the whole of Wales to support young people aged 16-25 with a learning disability and/or autism into paid work placements lasting 6-12 months.

Do you have a learning disability and/or autism?

Engage to Change may be able to support you to learn new skills and gain experience in the workplace, all with the aim of moving into paid employment. At this event you will be able to hear all about the experiences of other young people like you who have succeeded through the project.

Do you support people with a learning disability and/or autism?

Come along to find out how the project could benefit the people you work with through supported employment, from greater financial independence, to increased confidence and an expanded social circle. They can self-refer or you can refer them to us.

Are you an employer looking to tap into a new pool of talent and diversify your workplace?

Drop in to the Roadshow to meet the team, get a taste of how it all works, and hear from other employers who have taken part and felt the benefits of welcoming Engage to Change participants to their workforce.

The Engage to Change project is delivered in partnership between Learning Disability Wales, Agoriad Cyf, All Wales People First, Cardiff University, ELITE and in collaboration with Engage to Change DFN Project SEARCH.
