We are looking for people with a learning disability who want to share their experiences and opinions with Swansea Bay University Health Board. Everyone taking part will get paid and fed!
Swansea Bay University Health Board are part of the National Health Service, NHS, in Wales.
They are making videos and online training to make sure that people who work with people with a learning disability know about:
- Reducing restrictive practices.
- Positive behaviour support
Reducing restrictive practices is a way to:
- Make sure any restrictions and controls in someone’s life are fair and not breaking the law
- Find the best plan to support someone in a safe way.
Positive behaviour support is a way to:
- Help people live a good life
- Support people to learn new things
- Help carers understand and know how to support people with behaviours that challenge.
We are working with Swansea Bay University Health Board to:
- Find people with a learning disability to come along to events and have a say.
- Find groups and organisations who want Swansea Bay University Health Board to visit you and find out what you have to say.
- Find people who want to be interviewed for films about positive behaviour support and reducing restrictive practices.

All events and filming will be run by Swansea Bay University Health Board who will gather people’s experiences and opinions to make their training materials.
Learning Disability Wales is not running these events or collecting experiences and opinions.
