We are delighted to have welcomed three new people to our staff team recently. This week we have been hearing from them all, and we continue today with Taylor Florence, who works on our easy read and administration teams.
“I’m so glad to be part of Learning Disability Wales. I feel proud to be working with colleagues who are passionate at working with people with learning disabilities and changing their lives. I didn’t even expect any of this to happen to me.
“I was an Intern in Engage to Change DFN Project SEARCH last year (2018-19), they somehow changed me in to who I am, as well as gaining confidence in applying for jobs and having the skills for the workplace. As a matter of fact, they suggested I should apply for this job.
“In my role I’m part of 2 teams – the administration team and the easy read team. I support the administrators with admin tasks like evaluation forms from events and a lot of shredding. And in the easy read team I usually use the Check It! evaluation tool to check the easy read documents the team produce, and putting them onto our website.
“For my spare time I enjoy travelling and taking photographs along the way. I also listen to a lot of music, especially BTS, a K-Pop band.”
