I joined Learning Disability Wales in July.  I work alongside the team providing administrative support, helping run the office and leading on the ongoing development of our systems and processes to improve the way we work.

I have spent much of my working life in big corporate companies as a business/Insight analyst, however due to redundancy and some health problems 5 years ago, I started looking for work within the third sector.  I was lucky enough to start work as a Communications Officer for Cartrefi Cymru Co-operative, a charity that supports people with a learning disability.  When I saw the vacancy for Learning Disability Wales, I thought this would be a perfect move for me.  I’m proud to become part of a team that is so dedicated to improving the lives of people with a learning disability.

I’m married with 1 grown up son.  We have 2 Golden Retrievers (Fletcher and Rory) who take up much of my time. I love taking them to the beach or the countryside – they bring me so much joy!

I’m known to be very organised and quite technical with computers and software – I love building process maps and spreadsheets.  I also love gardening, cooking, reading and music.
