Mae Llinell BAME Cymru yn llinell gymorth newydd ar gyfer rhywun dros 18 oed sy’n byw yng Nghymru, yn enwedig os ydych chi’n hunaniaethu’n Berson Du, Asiaidd neu Leiafrif Ethnig (BAME), neu hoffech chi siarad â rhywun mewn iaith arall heblaw am Saesneg neu’r Gymraeg.

The helpline advisors can:

  • Signpost to relevant organisations and services in your area
  • Provide specialist employment advice
  • Signpost and refer to specialist organisations
  • Provide information in a range of community languages
  • Provide information in relation to: Health; Work; Welfare Entitlements; Education; Housing; Personal Safety

The helpline is open 10:30am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday.

BAME Helpline Wales has been running since early September 2020. It is a multi-lingual telephone helpline delivered by a partnership between EYST, Women Connect First, ProMo Cymru, Henna Foundation and other BAME Stakeholders to provide information, referral and signposting for BAME people to specialist advice, mainstream and community organisations. Funded by Welsh Government via the Voluntary Sector Emergency Fund, the helpline is initially a 6 month pilot project, and aims to respond to the disproportionate impact of the Coronavirus Pandemic on BAME communities.

  • It is a multi-lingual helpline. Between them the team speak 11 languages and interpretation can be arranged into other languages as required.
